EC National in USA relocating to Manchester seeking advice
I am planning to relocate back to Europe to be closer to my family in Amsterdam and sister in London. Fell in-love with Manchester during a visit and thought it would make a perfect home base. I have "Right of Residence" status by posessing a valid EC Passport and establishing residency will not be difficult. My biggest concern is the ability to successfully enter the Manchester job market at my age (52). I'm currently a Business Administration Manager with vast experience however, realistically my objective is to find and start off with any "foot-in-the-door" position that would cover basic living expenses. I'm aware that I will have to register with several placement agencies but again my concern is my age and the possible impact it may have in me being a viable/competitive candidate for any available position.
I'm looking for any thoughts or advice.
Cheers,
Michael
