Canadian Credit Rating

Is it possible to take my UK credit rating with me to Edmonton?
If not, what's the quickest way to build up a good score as I will need to obtian a loan for cars and a mortgage?

Re: Canadian Credit Rating

I don't think so....you can get quite a few credit cards from companies like the Bay or Canadian Tire, these are in house cards.  Buy stuff and pay them off in full at the end of every month....If you can access local visa cards from a bank, do the same thing. Buy stuff and pay it all right back.
