Just looking for a bit of confirmation. In Qatar at the moment and have an offer for Jakarta with a PT company which breaks down as
7.5K US tax free, rising to 9KUS after 24 months
4 bed apartment provided in slipi
schooling paid (JIS / BIS) for 2 kids
annual family flights to point of origin
car and driver provided
12 days holiday per year.....normal???
basic family health cover...may need private cover
Need a little reassurance that 7.5K is do-able

Cash first. That translates to Rp70 million (I assume per month).
Jakarta minimum wage is about 1.5 million per month.
Can you live on 46.6 times minimum wage?
School next.
Be prepared for a long and nasty journey every school day. About 90 minutes to school and a couple of hours return. Worse if you hit traffic.
I've never heard a complaint about JIS; I can't offer that comment about BIS.

Generally I think its an ok package but I do have my reservations on the traveling to school. Work will be around Thamarin so Slipi if fine for me.....any suggestions on suitable schools within a reasonable distance from slipi
