Moving to Timisoara from Barcelona/Nos mudamos de Barcelona a Timisoar

My family and I are moving to Timisoara next month for a period of 2 yrs. We are currently living in Barcelona but I am orginally from Ireland, and my husband is Romanian. I am interested in connecting with other expats in the city who speak english and or spanish through social groups, if there are any in existence. I speak spanish and English and have a good understanding of Romanian but don´t speak well yet. I have 2 kids, 4 yrs and 17 months. If anyone out there can offer some advice on meeting expats or otherwise please drop me a line.

Thanks,

N

Hola,

Thanks,

N

Re: Moving to Timisoara from Barcelona/Nos mudamos de Barcelona a Timisoar

Hello/Hola!

My name is Liliana, and I am an expat in Timisoara. I am an English and Spanish teacher, originally from Argentina, married to a Dane, and we have been living in Timisoara only for 5 months. We have a 3 year old little girl.
There other expats in Romania too, but I've only happened to meet some. So everything is still quite new for me, though I've already have a pretty accurate picture of the Romanian ways and culture in general. As a latin country, it's not very far from my cultural background.

There's a lot to say about Romania, but I don't know exactly what you would like to know.

Drop me a line whenever you want, and we can talk some more.

Welcome to Timisoara, and I'm looking forward to hearing from you soon!

Best regards,

Liliana.
