Healthcare in Iran

Hi,

how does the healthcare system work in Iran ? Is it efficient ?

What are the main differences between public and private sectors?

Is it recommended to purchase private health insurance in Iran?

Thanks in advance for sharing your experience !

Julien

In Iran, private hospitals are almost always better than the public ones. Mainly because inexperienced doctors are plentiful in the public hospitals of Iran and as soon as they become more experienced, they leave for the private hospitals.

Keep in mind, though, that while private hospitals are much better than public hospitals Iran, they also charge a lot more than the public hospitals but they are still a good choice.

As for the insurance part, I don't have an health insurance so I can't help you there.
