Visa Denial

Hello, I'm an American citizen who has applied for a fiance visa to the UK a few months ago, with still no word on a decision.

I'm still very hopeful that they're just taking forever and will grant me my visa. However, I'm wondering if for some horrible reason they deny me, what is the course of action?

Has anyone been through this? What did you do? Where you eventually able to obtain a visa?

I'd love to know what my options are just in case!

Re: Visa Denial

The ever so complicated 'Home Office' has made matters a tad more comlicated with the introduction of a newre offshoot called 'Border Agency'. Your visa application depends on many factors, nonetheless the genrel advice to be patient. It can take anything from 3 months to forever. I am sorry to sound so un-helpful but I know of freinds who are waiting a response from Bordres agency for like a year.

On a positive note, you will eventually get a visa if your case is strong.

How about having a lawyer contact the British visa people to see what's going on?  He or she might be able to hurry things along.
