Dutch expats: register now for september elections!

Dutch citizens who do not live in the Netherlands can participate with the parliament elections ("Tweedekamerverkiezingen") in september 2012.
In order to vote, you need to register yourself through the website of the Den Haag city counsil.

Follow the instructions on that site to fill out the registration form. Print it out, and sign it. Return it to Den Haag, accompanied by a copy of your passport or ID (must be valid on July 31, 2012). Digital scans of the (signed!) form and passport/ID-copies are accepted, and can be sent by e-mail to the address on the form.

Mind: even abroad, your government takes decisions that may affect you. Saving on embassy costs means that you'll have more troubles renewing your passport. They also decide on your Dutch pension scheme. And on topics like "dual citizenship". Reasons enough to use your right to vote in September!
