If you really want a job, you need to go to Canada and look for one!! I have been trying to find work form the UK for months and employers over there will not respond to overseas peeps looking for work unless you are already in Canada.
I have just come back from Canada after 3 weeks and it was terrific. Having a UK passport means i can go and stay in Canada for 6 months without a visa, so i am going early next year to find a job!!!!!!
You really need to go and do the same if you have not been there yet.

Im going in december on my british passport to look for work too...i cant wait!!! I went to canada by accident with my cousin for a wedding in May because she hated the idea of going to Canada alone for various reasons.......we both loved it! My cousins a lawyer and shes looked into all the avenues..the best is to go british passport..find a job and get a work permit........
