Considering to Move to Seoul, South Korea or Tokyo, Japan.

Hello everyone! I am considering to move to Seoul or if not there then Tokyo by myself, and I am a college graduated.
So I need to have some back-plans before I can move there and live there permanently.
I want to know how to get jobs there. I am speak in English fluently and interested in arts, music, and health.

So does anyone knows how to get jobs for foreigners? And how to move there?

Thank you for anyone who read and answer this.

Seoul is fun and Tokyo is amazingly cool but super expensive. Good luck~

Not most... at least not at a level that would be too useful.
But many in Seoul speak a bit, which should help you get around at least that city.

Some younger Koreans speak English quite well, I've seen a number of them willing to help random foreigners on the street.

Korean, like most any language, is fun to learn if you plan on staying there any length of time. big_smile

Hi there,

What sort of job do you want to do there? Like a previous post said, Japan is very expensive but has many options for entertainment. Korea on the other hand has a fairly low cost of living and slightly more restricted in terms of entertainment options. It all depends on what you want to do and what sort of lifestyle you are looking for.

Hi !

I live in the center of Seoul, in Hongdae. You'll still be able to find something to do at anytime of the day or the night if you have koreans friends (easier to go in certains places).

About speaking english, I spoke with some koreans friends and they explained me that in reality a lot of people have at least a basic english but they are too shy to speak because they don't want to misprononciate the words.

Anyway, as said before Tokyo is really expensive (friends of mine are actually in Tokyo), which means that if they have more entertainment you'll also have to think about your budget.

If you have any question about the life in Seoul, don't hesitate to send me a message smile
