Is anyone teaching English and if so tell me what to do?
I have a TEFL certificate and cannot seem to find the right program to go through. I see all kinds but I am overwhelmed. I would like to teach in England but you need a CELTA certificate for most so I tried in Europe and thats where I become overwhelmed. I am looking for any advice from anyone on how you were able to get that position either for 6 months or two years. I am looking to do this by January 2010 or March 2010.I would appreciate any info.

No, I don't teach English, but I know it's important to have a bachelor's degree when applying to most jobs. Do you have a bachelor's degree in addition to your TEFL certificate?
Why are you overwhelmed? Too many countries to choose from in Europe? I have this same problem in the States :-).

Well, I was overwhelmed until I finally found someone who taught in Prague..one of my top European cities to go...I do have a bachelor and a TEFL Certificate but it appears that I would have to go through another program to get a work visa>>>
I think and know that is where I will go because of the market for teachers for teachers.
Where are you thinking about teaching US?>

No, I do not plan on teaching at all.
I may have to return to the States soon though and do not have a place to return to. This is why I remarked on the many states to choose from -- it is overwhelming.
Good luck in your endeavors!
