Moving to Dalian with my dog

Hi there,
I'm planning to move to Dalian from Vancouver Canada after chinese new year next year. I have a dog with me, and I was wondering what is the regulation of importing dogs to China...
He's a yorkshire terrier and he's about 5pounds...he's very old already that i promise myself that I would take him with me wherever i go...
Please reply if any of you know about bringing animals to china.
