income taxes in Austria

Hello,

I am considering moving to Austria and I need to know some information on the income taxes in this country.
I am currently living in Quebec Canada and the income taxes reach around 45 percent for an executive employee.
Is anybody can tell me about that percentage in Austria?

thank you

Re: income taxes in Austria

Hey,

I'm from Canada too (Toronto) and I have been living in Austria for about 5 years both as being employed and self employed.  Maxmimum tax is 60%, but I am not sure when it begins..I think around 50 or 60k.  Remember, Austria is a socialist country and the taxes are huge and you have to work here for at least 15 years to be eligible for pension.
