Girona help please!

Hi, I'm moving to somewhere in Catalunya mid Sept.  The vague plan is to

a) find a few days cheap accommodation (that accepts my dog).
b) buy a car
c) find a tefl job or similar
d) rent apartment near the job

I'm thinking of starting off in Girona, any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated!
