Re: Spanish Newyorker moving to Madrid

Roommates are pretty easily found. Plus, around the universities you'll always find postings by people seeking roommates to share expenses. How to specifically find an "anglophone" might be more challenging but I know at least one American (with Spanish ancestry) studying at University in Madrid who may be able to plug you in to something.

If you don't have a place to live before arriving (and you aren't likely to get a place before being interviewed face-to-face), tour best bet may be to stay in a "hostal" for the first week while searching for a place to live more permanently.

Best of luck!
