Hi, there are a couple of them in Half Moon Bay, Eastern Region (Holiday Inn and Sunset Beach). Cheers.

Re: Private beach resorts in Saudi Arabia

Since they are family-friendly I'm not supposed to go there as a single guy, you'd have to call them. Sorry.

We have asked people and they say you can swim in the sea in Jeddah. Is it true?

Re: Private beach resorts in Saudi Arabia

in Sunset( Khobar), you could freely swim there by wearing Mayoh or anything like in  EU.

but in other resorts

you can swim it's cool, but i guess you should wear something that cover your boddy.

i'm speaking about East Area, have no idea about Jeddah

Re: Private beach resorts in Saudi Arabia

There are many private beaches in Jeddah.   You can become a member or pay around 100 SAR for the day.   You can also rent units there for a weekend or a vacation.   The beaches are very nice.   A lot of the ladies are Lebanese or western and they wear bikinis and tongas and men wear bikinis and shorts just like a beach anywhere else.   There are public beaches where the ladies wear abayas or full length swim wear with head covers.   I used to belong to a beach in Jeddah frequented by French and Lebanese people.  No different than Miami Beach with the exception of the walls on either side of the beach.   The water is clean and there is even a small reef you can swim to.   Check out the Obhur area and North.  Dont forget the sun protection and youn will need vwater shoes as there are come rocky areas.

Just a word of warning usually Saudi's are not allowed in the private beaches but every once in a while a few young Saudi guys would get in.  Probably guests of someone.   They made it awkward staring at the ladies.   Be prepared to ignore them.

Re: Private beach resorts in Saudi Arabia

Why even mess with KSA?  You've got to take a plane to get to  Jeddah so why not just take that plane and go to Aqaba or Sharm El Sheikh where you can have a drink, go dancing, etc., in addition to the beach.

This is what I do.  The way I see it, there's no point in having a holiday in Saudia since you're not 'getting away from it all'; rather, 'it' continues to surround you! lol

Now you are talking.   Sharm Al Sheik it is.
The Mexican cantina has Cervezas frias.
We can always go to the monestary in the desert and ask forgiveness from the monks afterwards.

Re: Private beach resorts in Saudi Arabia

Your words not mine.   Young Saudi's who do not normally see women without covering are prone to stare.  Those are my words.

As far as the horny old men I think Alleycat has responded to that.

I wasn't asking a real question. We both know that.

I'm simply annoyed by your remark. You make it sound like you know how a Saudi looks, smells and sounds. You don't know who's Saudi and who's not. That's nearly impossible for an expat, unless told by said 'Saudi'. Not every none-white person who speaks Arabic is a Saudi.

Moreover, You can't tell me that only Saudi men stare at semi-naked ladies. The only difference is that Saudis won't wait until she passes them to stare at her behind. Otherwise, men will ALWAYS be men. Don't kid yourself or others.
