I got an offer to work as Internal Medicine specialist in S.Hithadhoo Regional Hospital, under Southern Health Services Corporation Ltd. I am a qulified Doctor. I want the following details:
1. The above mentioned hopital is run by Govenment or Private agency?
2.what is the distance between Male International airport to Hithadhoo?
3.How much is the rent for single bed room house?( I will stay with my wife)
4.What is the cost of living? How much I have to spend for 2 persons for basic living?

hi Dr.P.Natarajan,

firstly congratulations,

1- run by the government
2- about 50-60minutes by flight and about 2days by sea, there are few daily flighst between addu city and male city,
3- accommodation will be provided, you can ask before you accept the offer. but as far as i know all the doctors who work in maldives the accommodation is paid by the employer unless your working at a clinic for commission based.
4- since you will be in addu city, the cost of living will be much cheaper than living in male, lets say you will managed easily for 500$ for a family, that is for food, school, and entertainment, ie if your dining out.
