Planning to move to Quebec from NY state and seeking advice...

I am living in Upstate NY and am planning on moving to Quebec within the next year or two max...  My wife is a Quebecois currently working in the US...  I was born in Ontario but have lived in the States my entire life as a US citizen w/ a US passport, etc...  trying to determine the most seamless way to emmigrate to Canada...  ie. should my wife sponsor me or is this even necessary since I have a Canadian birth certificate?  Any suggestions and / or insight would be greatly appreciated!  Merci beaucoup!
