Help jog my memory
When I was a kid living in Denmark, we used to buy candy at the train stations on the way to school.
I have a memory of herbal / licorice lozenges that were packed in a small blue and red box. The only name I remember sounded like "Gajols" ...
Can anybody tell me if they are aware of such a thing and if they are still being sold?
Many thanks!
Dave.

Re: Help jog my memory
Sure! Ga-jol is still quite popular and they have a big outdoor advertisement near the Copenhagen train station that goes something like "Ga-jol, perfect for Danish weather." The little box you remember is still around and costs about a dollar today.
Here you can see a site that shows the different packaging that you probably remember as a child:

Re: Help jog my memory
That's it !
Thank you so much, now I'll have to get some.
Funny how certain things stick in your memory. I think it's time to go back, have a polser (with the crispy onions), a Tuborg, and then go find the nearest train station.
Tak!
Dave.
