All shops that sell furnishings in bangalore also have tailors to help you do fittings. Commercial street is a good place to start. There are many others depending on your budget. Came to know this as i have upholstered my sofa recently.

Thank you! Very helpful - the only other reply I had was completely dismissive (not to say scornful) of upholsterers in B'lore.  I'm happy that someone has something positive and useful to offer. I've been to Commercial Street and will definitely give it a try.

There are also individual tailors who will do the job for you in case you can get the material for them. If you need such help let me know and i will give you their contact details.
