HELP!
Hi , my name is Jeremy and I have a French Wife (Sylvie), 2 French/English/Kiwi boys (4 & 7), and me, English living here in NZ.
I am an accomplished Osteopath and Naturopath and living in Auckland NZ, as well as much business experience. We want to move to NC this year and settle there so that the boys learn French and also for the lifestyle.
Can anyone assist us in some help and advice please (and contacts)?
Especially upon these subjects:
Can I practice there (my French is not great yet but I can communicate)
How difficult is it to do this -French beurocracy is infamous?
If I can't -being an intelligent and educated man of 40 - can I get work?
We want to rent a house in/near Noumea -preferably up high and out of town a bit -what sort of costs/availability?
My wife was an experienced 4 star hotel Reservations manager so probably she could get work reasonably easily in Noumea.
Is the pay enough to survive?
I would deeply appreciate any help or networking with other expats there. Perhaps there is already a clinic I can join etc?
Thanks in advance? Feel free to answer in French as Sylvie can reply then.
Many thanks in advance Jeremy
