HI FRIENDS,

I AM 23+ TRAVEL & TOURISM PROFESSIONAL GUY FROM INDIA. I GOT OFFER TO JOIN HOLIDAY & DESTINATION MANAGEMENT COMPANY IN MALE CITY, MALDIVES WITH SALARY OF USD 650 WITH ONLY ACCOMMODATION. I CHECKED ALL DETAILS ABOUT ORGANIZATION WHICH IS GENUINE AND FINE FOR ME.

PLEASE ADVICE NOW :-
1) IS IT GOOD TO STAY FOR 2 YRS IN MALE CITY, MALDIVES AND WORK THERE ?
2) I AM PURE VEG. AND WHAT IS NORMAL COST FOR FOOD PER PERSON PER MONTH
3) HOW ABOUT THE CULTURE & WILL MALDIVIANS ACCEPT INDIANS
4) HOW IS THE LIFE IN MALDIVES & IS THERE ANY CLUBS, DISCO'S, PUB'S & NIGHTLIFE.

Hi my Indian friend:

I will try to answer your 4 questions but please don't take it as an advice, This is only my opinion to the best of my knowledge.
1) 2 years contract is common here for expat workers, Now, if you will be asking if it is good to stay, i would say yes, Male is the center of commercials in Maldives.
2) You can buy lots of vegetables in the market here. As per my experience for a monthly budget if you will be cooking in your own apartment, you will spend an average of 1,000 rufiyaa monthly.
3)Culture would be no problem, There are lots of Indians here.
4)No clubs, discos and pubs here, you need to go to a resort island wherein some resorts offer a good nighlife. Liquor is strictly prohibited in Male.
