Resident Card since 2007 but I live in Paris

I got the Resident card in 2007, but I backed to Paris to solve personal problems till now.
I wonder if I can come back to Montreal?
What I can do?
Thanks

Re: Resident Card since 2007 but I live in Paris

normally you have to live 2 years out of 3 in Canada to remain a permanent resident. you may have lost your PR status. you may resume it by contacting the Canadian consulate or embassy that's close to your home. good luck.
i hope this helps.
