primary schools in Brittany

I would like to hear from anyone who has experience of putting their English children into local Brittany primary schools. 
We are thinking of living probably in Southern Brittany soon and one of our main considerations is how well our 7 year old daughter (who is quite shy) will cope.  If anyone feels they can recommend a school it might help narrow down our search.  So far, we are looking at larger villages around Ploermel.  Any other tips about location would also be welcome!  We will not be working so the school is the only tie.
