Child care in Ohio

Hi,

when settling in a new country, working parents are mostly concerned about finding child care services for their children.

What can you share with us about the child care system in Ohio ?

How much is daycare in Ohio?

Is the staff qualified at these daycare centers?

What are the usual opening hours?

Do they provide other services at the daycare center?

Any daycare center in Ohio you would like to recommend to other expats? What makes them special?

Thank you for participating! :)

Health care cost in Ohio average about $6200.00 USD per year for one child full time day care.  Here is a link that can give you an over-view; http://www.naccrra.org/randd/data/docs/OH.pdf.  Most day car centers are certified by the state or local government.  The workers must go through a background check.  You can ask each place you want to use for there certificates of operations and other documents.  Prices very based on what they provide.  Infant care typically cost 15% more.  Some business offer day care while others might allow a tax free fund for those type of fees.  Child care can qualify as a deduction against earnings for tax purposes.

Thank you for helping Markgw! :)
