Anglo-Italian elementery schools?
We are seeking an apartment in Perugia, for two adults and two children, August 09-June 10. We can house trade our Manhattan apartment for it, or rent it directly. Any leads?
Also, can recommend any Anglo-Italian elementary schools in the Perugia-Assisi Area? Or any Montessori schools for a 6 and a 10 year old?
Thanks!

Re: Anglo-Italian elementery schools?
Hi there,
I am also American and have been living in Perugia since September of '08. I don't have kids yet, so I cannot help on the school situation.
As far as apartment leads, I also am not the right person to ask.
My one recommendation, however, for the apartment-hunting, is to do it on your own. There are PLENTY of private ads online on sites such as www.subito.it or even craigslist.it. Additionally, there is a very-popular circular used called CercaeTrovo, which has an online version as well.
If you were to go with an agency, you will pay at least 7% to them as a monthly fee, based on your rent. It's highway robbery, considering they ALSO take 10% from the rentor!
Again, try to avoid intermediaries wherever you can.
Hope this helped somewhat, and in either case, I wish you good luck and a good time in Italy!
