Hi all,

What are the formalities and paperwork required to bring your pet in Dominican Republic?

How long do formalities & paperwork usually take in Dominican Republic?

What are the relevant authorities to contact?

Which vaccines are compulsory? Do your pets have to go in quarantine at their arrival in Dominican Republic?

Which advice would you give to the ones who would like to move with a dog, a cat or any other pet?

Getting pets in is very easy and there is no quarenteen here. YOu need a certificate of health from your vet and evidence of a rabies vaccine within the last year. When you get here you pay a $10 fee. We fly our dog down all the time.

Your biggest problem may be with the airline as they have a weight limit as well as they will NOT fly a dog if the temp at either the starting ariport or your destination airport is over 90 degrees so shipping in the summer maybe hard.
