Looking to move to Ecuador for 2 years. I have a budget of $3000/mth. I will start off in Cuenca but am also interested in the coast as I am a scuba diver. I would like to rent a furnished 2 bedroom for under $550/mth and live in a modern condo close to a gym and shopping centre. I have lived in Japan, China, the U.S., Thailand and the Philippines .... each for 2 years as well. I have found that I prefer a modern western condo/house, rent a scooter to explore and access to a gym. I will be looking for the "nicest" part of Cuenca to rent but I am unsure what the nicest area is.
