Currently I am growing The Source Vixens to be the top service oriented company based in Shenzhen, China. Originally begun as a Relocation & Business Consulting service for ex-pats new to China, the company has expanded into Online Sales, Exports, and Virtual Assistant services. The Source Vixens are two local Shenzhen business women sharing their skills and experience with professionals who are moving here and/or starting businesses. Our company saves 50% of our customer's time and effort by laying all the groundwork, providing a familiarization with life and business in China, and fashioning beneficial relationships. We have done business with professionals in many fields, Chinese government and military projects, and large companies like T-Mobile, S.F. Express, Shenzhen Daily, Sears, the Canadian and American Diabetes Associations. Before this I worked for 10 years as an English Teacher/Trainer in China, Britain, Canada and South Korea. I've had positions in many institutions, such as a university, newspaper and public school, as well as training centers and kindergartens. My focus has been on Curriculum Development, Marketing and Management.

All aspects of education - teaching, curriculum development, marketing. Business consulting. Restaurant and bar business.
It's very cosmopolitan, has many long-term residents/visitors, and is great for networking.
I developed the curriculum and English teaching materials for a brand-new kindergarten. I also prepared teenage students for exams and taught them debating skills, while teaching reading to primary students.
It gave me a great opportunity to see the South Korean education system. It was also smack dab in the middle of the country, making it a great travel hub. The Korean people are very welcoming and eager to show you their culture.
The expat community was a bit young, so the social life was more like an extension of university.
I taught English to immigrants.
I liked getting a first hand experience of another, non-North American, Western culture.
I found the people where I lived to be a bit snobby; they didn't like that I was a foreigner.
