When I was little, I wanted to become a taxi driver. To meet new people everyday and find out what's keeping them alive. It seemed like the most exciting thing to do in a communist country. After the revolution, I wanted to become a journalist, to write about all these people, and what makes them get up in the morning. After my father passed away when I was 16, I could'nt take life too serious anymore, so I decided to become and actor. From time to time I am thus able to draw new lines in the palm of my hand, and live and experience feelings, things, events, situations and phenomena that otherwise won't fit nor happen in a lifetime. Not even to us, vampires. We don't live as long as we used to. Nothing natural in people's blood nowadays :) Ok. I am a romanian born professional actor/director - and it's not becasue I was starving back in Romania that I'm leaving abroad. It's just what I do for a long time. It's what keeps me alive.
I joined expat.com on 06 December 2013.
But it made me feel bad about not being able to secure a long term job. Due to no green card, or due to me not wanting to play illegal.
This city is the exact opposite of Amsterdam. That is why it was called New Amsterdam for a while. A dream and nightmare in the same time. Little houses - big house little streets - huge streets, huge bridges over huge canals, all from a nation with such a short and violent history.
The American Dream still fools and kills so many people. It's a fake competition. All it matters is who you know. And if you have some money. The rest, is just a matter of organization.
Met Summer, the love of my life
This city is a dream. Little houses, little streets, little bridges over little canals, all from a nation with such a big heart. Except for their conquering past..
It lost its amprent. Just like almost all EU capitals. And I am all for change. But this is not change. This is big corporations' interests taking over the whole world.
