Born in Pukekohe New Zealand, moved to Brisbane Australia in 2005 - We purchased land in Vanuatu on the Island of Espiritu Santo in 2014 and are now in the process of selling as we prepare to retire and travel full time in 2020 Married to my best friend (from Chelyabinsk Russia - Where that huge meteor hit the ground). have our own blog and website www.globetrottingcouple.com

Expat experience
Learn about Thai cooking, De-stressing from the so called normal life.... you know that 9-5 prison with no walls
I guess as a first of many slow travel destinations Chiang Mai holds as a place to just de compress from a life of 9-5. We want to use Chiang Mai as our first retirement settlement. We plant to live here for up to 6 months before we embark on further places yet un explored.

Small town Isolation from the rest of the world... One cough and everyone gets the cold (read between the lines)
