I am not yet an expatriate, but I am looking for information about life abroad.

I am New Zealander, and I would like to live in Indonesia.

About me

I am still living in Christchurch New Zealand, but am hopeful that I will move to live in Bali mid year 2009.  I have been to Bali many times and love the place, people and overall culture.  I grew up in Asia and the Middle East, so its a bit like coming home, also have travelled a lot in Asia as an adult.  I have decided to initially come for a year to see if I can get thru the daily / weekly / monthly issues of just living there,  but I know in my heart once there I will not leave.
I love the beach and surf, and am looking fwd to being able to swim and walk every day. I also play golf, but likely will be too expensive in Bali.  I have a background in the IT industry and also in Sales and management.

My birthday is on 8 July
