I intend to be in Tashkent, Uzbekistan for the next couple of years as I get ready to emigrate to pastures new... I work remotely for clients in the UK and the US and take advantage of the lower cost of living here in Tashkent. I actually lived here for a long time in the past and wanted to spend a little time here before I emigrate, as there is a good possibility that this will be my last time here for an extended period of time i.e. after this it will be just short holidays like everyone else! )))

There is a lot of bureaucracy to get anything done in the business world here; I expect this to change over time however and look forward to new possibilities as they arise.

Kazakhstan is one of the more developed countries of Central Asia that is very stable and has a culture of strong family values; it has recently been hit hard by the devaluation of their currency, but getting back on its feet slowly but surely.

Surprising not much, I think there are a few creature comforts I miss from back home or that of a more westernised country, but the same could be said about most places...

The UK is very stable and well developed with an education and healthcare system that is second to none. I think if I had a more conventional occupation, I could do a lot worse than staying in my home country; however since I can work remotely for my clients, even though most of them are in the UK, this give me the opportunity to keep an English Salary which is a lot higher than most countries and take advantage of a lower cost if living.

Mr Average i.e. the majorly are not really supported at all; they are heavily taxed and increasingly finding themselves better-off elsewhere. As a result the gap between rich and poor is ever increasing whilst the average find better pastures new elsewhere in the world.
