Introduction
I moved from Los Angeles to the small town of Drogheda, Co. Louth, Ireland recently to try something new. I am a journalist/writer by trade and am looking forward to documenting my experiences living in small-town Ireland!

Expat experience
I'm pursuing my freelance writing while here in Drogheda.
I like that it's a small town; I've lived in big cities my whole life and wanted to try something new. I love my closeknit group of Irish friends, brown bread, my apartment, driving a manual (stick shift) car, the Boyne River that runs through town, the people.
The selection (or lack thereof) of good restaurants, the fact that everyone is late all the time!
Worked as a freelance writer and also held full-time positions in Internet marketing.
The weather, the fact that you can experience nearly every culture in the world there, the restaurants, the beaches, deserts, mountains. My family and friends.
The focus on perfection, the douchebag wannabe actors/actresses.
