Hi. I'm Californian, married to a German - we live with our two teenagers (attending German schools) and a Labrador retriever in a village on the Rhine a bit south from Bonn. Though I wasn't too fascinated by history during my own school days, I love learning about the history of places I have visited since. I enjoy cycling and recently took up cylce-touring which I love so much and hope to inspire others by writing about some of the places I visit and quirky things I've seen. I also try to share some useful tips and my own look at life as an expat living in Germany.
