Introduction
I'm retired and living in Santo Domingo. I have traveled all over the world and fir more than 18 years, I have primarily visited the Dominican Republic. I made the decision to live here several years ago. Although I will not need an added income, I have considered supplementing my pension by teaching English or starting a small business. I think moving here was the decision I've made. Thank you

Expat experience
The Hudson Valley of New York is a beautiful area of the state. There is much to do and see here and it's a great place to raise a family.
I have lived her all my life. Although I have lived in other states and countries in my life, I'm ready for a change. Now that I am older, I don't enjoy the cold weather the same as when I was a kid.
I travel to Santo Domingo often, but I have visited several other cities. My wife is Dominicana and my plan is to move there when I retire. I also made several expat friends during my visits. Several years ago I visited there on a humanitarian trip to Tres Rios.
The slower pace of doing things, nothing is ever in a hurry. The people are the friendlies I have met in the world and the climate is great.
I have learned to be careful of a helping hand, nobody does anything for free.
