I moved out to Romania in 2007 to set up www.whitemountain.ro, a real estate agency providing renovation, sales, rental and property management business out of frustration mainly, at being unable to find anyone to take care of my portfolio. My background was as a design manager (Principal Engineer) for Aston Martin cars for 12 years, and before that, for Ford and Jaguar. So I was giving up every boys dream job to come over. But if you've tried to get a light bulb changed when you are not there to do it yourself, never mind a shower fitted, you will completely understand. Since then, I have grown the business (white mountain property) slowly but solidly to manage around 81 properties at last count & have done endless renovations, rebuilds, kitchens, furnishing exercises etc at the time of writing. Based mainly in Bucharest & Brasov. White Mountain, I am proud to say is staffed by a graduate-educated, honest, hardworking, customer oriented team & perhaps, that is our unique brand strength. The team, along with myself have all turned their hands to voluntarily renovate a crowded, neglected, state mental hospital in our locality as an act of humanitarian care.
