The reason I asked about your American background was because you were fluent in Arabic. Where about in Riyadh are you based? Do you teach Arabic/or know anyone that teaches Arabic in Riyadh? It would be for a brother living in Riyadh.

I am based in Al Olya district, I don't teach Arabic but I know couple of people who does, will help him gladly though if he needs any help...

hahahaha, I wanted to say that but I didn't want to offend Saudi men, you said it not me, just for the record:P. It's hard living lonely specially in a 3 bedroom apartment but I don't like roommates, as for friends I really don't have any, I have people I meet with regularly for business so I can't call them friends but they are nice though, I live happy (sometimes) LOL.

Welcome aboard, hopefully u will find this forum helpful in improving your English. Saudi girls speak English much better than Saudi men, I always wondered why?!

Thank you very much .. I do not know why:) haha Do u have a job here? Or with ur family?

that makes 2 of us that doesn't know why Saudi girls speak English better than Saudi men, I think we need some help:). My friend and I started an IT company in the US about 10 years ago, about a year ago I established a branch for it here in Riyadh, NO family, just me,myself & I. loool.

Toscan posted on the thread An apartment needed on the Riyadh forum

Try Durr Almjd, they are located in Outhman bin Affan Street, I lived there for 3 month when I came to Riyadh, the rent was SAR 2500 per month even though it was going for about SAR 450 per night, I think if you told them you want it for a year they will give you a good discount, I will try to get you their number before the end of the day.

I have been in Riyadh for 2 weeks now and I am still crazing searching apartment. I am just on my own, so no villas or apartments with 3-4 bedrooms. The thing is most small apartments are unfurnished. Is it really possible to find an apartment furnished with maximum 2 bedrooms here in Riyadh? I have a 27K SAR budget. And I am not sure what to expect. Any ideas?

There is a lot of furnished apartments in Riyadh, more than anything except for barbershops I will say :). 27K should get you a decent APT if you rent it for the year, daily rent will be very expensive depending on the location of the APT.
