I am an Australian citizen with Pakistani roots. I have a Ph D in life sciences (immunology); so a scientist by profession, dealing with vaccines, production of antibodies and in general with immunity to infectious diseases. I later on retrained as a science and mathematics teacher, workplace trainer and assessor; training adults on and off campus at TAFE in Australia. I have experience managing a non-profit adult learning centre where we ran courses depending upon the interests/needs of the community members. I also have coordinated projects for the ethnic minorities, women and the disadvantaged to retrain them so that they can get back into the workforce. I love working with communities with people, with learners of any age, race or gender. I develop rapport with individuals and am a people's person. I am looking for work in NGOs or with any UN agencies like WHO, UNICEF etc so that I can be helpful in educating the masses whether its literacy, numeracy, class room teaching or health education and food safely and hygiene.
