Worked in publishing ( national newspapers) in England for 42 years until I was made redundant in 2009 and then did some consultancy work for a further two years. During this time we put our flat up for sale and went through a 'slash and burn' ( not really, some will eventually join us, some we gave to family and friends, some we gave to charity and some we threw away) of our possessions. Sold the flat in May 2012 and immediately moved to Ambergris Caye, Belize where we have had land for 4 years. We are now in the process of having our new home built and want to share the experience with other like-minded people.
