My name is Austin Guidry and I am an expat in Lanzhou, China. I spent most of 2011 in Lanzhou as a student, but traveled through China when I could. I love the countryside, and especially small cities and villages. They show me a new dimension of life, and seem to have unending amounts of things to teach me. I am a teacher at Lanzhou Jiaotong University, and I will be for a while. I don't know if I'll be a full-on expatriate (live here forever), but it doesn't sound like the worst idea in the world.
