I am approaching my retirement years, and wish to get more mileage out of my retirement income. Being that I speak some Spanish and have an intense interest in Latin-American cultures, particularly Afro-Latin American, I thought it would be in my best interest to live in a Latin-American country. I chose Ecuador because of her generous policies towards retirees. My intentions are to give back by volunteering and getting involved in Afro-Ecuadorian communities and tutor in English. I may even get a TEFL certification and teach English professionally in addition to my volunteer hours. I'm looking at the idea of making this move within two years of this posting. Meanwhile, I will be researching, researching, and researching.
