in the UK, we have, for example, a good country-wide chain called Carephone Warehouse, which is very reliable and reasonable on it's prices for mobile phones and contracts.
would any of you be able to advise the name of similar chain of reliable mobile phone specialists in Riyadh please?
I'm coming over to Riyadh for work soon from the UK.
I have two choices in relation to me wanting to purchase an iphone 5.
1. I can buy one in London (in London, it costs SAR 3180) offline. Once i get to Riyadh, simply get a contract with no phone as I would already have the iphone 5 bought from London.
2. Wait until i get to Riyadh. In Riyadh purchase a contract that comes with an iphone 5.
In your esteemed local know-how, what would be the better choice?
I agree with pkmusd and gokhanTheConqueror.
I am a little suprised to see all the ink spent on a concept which is fairly easy to comprehend and is reality!
Muslims in general do not believe in free mixing as Islam does not permit it.
Some Muslim countries try to impose this restriction through legislation, and some Muslim countries dont. It is as simple as this!
lol lool @ the new Westfield, man that place rocks!! Im there chilling atleast once a week after work, and to be honest, even when i am there, i already miss it thinking that soon i will be in Riyadh!!
I wonder how buzzing or muted as the case may be, the Eid feeling is in Riyadh, people?!?
I can tell you that in London, some parts anyway, there is a carnival-like atmosphere, totally full-of-live and energetic!
If you have young children pre school you won't be any better off here in Riyadh compound housing is difficult to come by most have waiting lists. Getting about without your husband would involve taxis unless you were on a compound where they have cars to hire or bus transport to the Malls. Cost of housing anything up to 30000 SAR per month on a compound.
30,000 SAR per month?!?!
and @ Saimans; you state it is difficult to get an accomodation at that price, crikey!!! That's like £5000 per month on compound, which could get you a neat gaf in Belgravia (Central London)!
Hi Bruce and welcome to the great city
For accommodation, what i would do is first decide where in London you would like to stay.
Having decided on what location would suit you best, make the visit to the location, or search on the internet for estate agencies and/or lettings agencies based in your chosen location.
In relation to work, what area of work would you like to get into?
Just wanted to reach out to any Investment Bankers based in Saudi Arabia! I wonder if there are many investment professionals from the UK/States or other places, migrated to Saudi Arabia for work purposes!?
If so, please send me a message! Cheers!
