I am American, and I am now living in Scotland. I am currently in Highlands.

About me

I have just co-authored and illustrated a book about my 3 years living in an isolated crofting community in the far northwest Scottish highlands. There were no other Americans who had ever lived there (in fact few ever get that far north). We sold our house and lived on the proceeds, writing and painting and clipping sheep and eating seafood and haggis. We are now back in the states - but my blog describes the process of making a decision to move, the technicalities of the moving process, what happened during that time, and what happened to us after we returned.
