I am not yet an expatriate, but I am looking for information about life abroad.

I am American, and I would like to live in Indonesia. I am currently in Seattle.

Hi all,
I live in the cold ,grey northwest.I love it here much of the year but last winter of snow and ice did me in.
I swore not another winter here and here I am looking out at grey ,cold day and it's just fall.
My husband wont run away,wonderful man but he is a creature of habit.

I do however have 3 kids and I am leaving for Bali.
Yes I am running away.
Not today,not even the next day,likely not until next fall of next year:0(

The plan is in the works.We will be looking for an ultra inexpensive house,a place that is not modern,in fact as traditional as possible.

My two oldest will be done with school by next year but the baby will need to be in school.

Anyway long intro I just wanted to get out what we will be looking for.
We will be on a tight budget and of course the whole visa issues but I am working on it now.
Hope to meet many of you soon! I welcome any and ALL info from anyone living in Bali,especially single women or women with kids!

My birthday is on 29 November, I was born in 1963
