HI! I am Becky, and my daughter and I (she is 6) are moving to Isla Mujeres, MX this spring from Colorado for the year to see if we want to move there full time! We know the Riveria Maya area and the island like the back of my hand (already like our second home) but I have always flown into Cancun... never driven. I was thinking of driving my Jeep down from Brownsville Texas boarder entry with my daughter, her dog (who was born on Isla), my cat (who was born in Cancun) and all of our stuff in a small trailer. Can I get some input as to how safe any of you think this will be?? I am pretty fluent in Spanish (and a recently retired police officer)... but my daughter and I across Mexico??? I'd appreciate any input. Thanks!
