Well, the UK's reputation stems from it's authority it enjoyed during the Colonization.  (running for cover)

My cousin got one employment offer from a company in Bahrain. No interviews, no screening, no resume requests. Straight away an offer letter out of nowhere. They had mailed him some PDF documents, among them the Registration Certificate of the Company. Now why would any good employer send this.

Yet it took me an hour to convince him that it was a hoax.

Not sure what role they have shortlisted you for. And why would they require AutoCad ?

Job sites are not immune to scams.

Thank you Shanaf, for the kind words. And for travelling all the way from Abu Dhabi to make this happen.
I hope more people will join the next meet and that it will be a regular one.

Special thanks to EB, Sam and Assiya. :)

Good to know this. Drum rolls  :top:

When I was in Dammam, KSA, we had successfully organized a meet-up. Hope, DXB will have more enthusiastic participants from all genders.

Restaurants and Shops being shut during the prayers was the most shocking / discomforting part of KSA life. And with the prayer timing changing everyday, it was like a race to buy the things, swipe the card and run out of the supermarket in time. Planning ahead, to a certain extent can avoid the last minute rushes and long wait for shops to re-open.

On the other hand, dealing with my landlord was a pleasant experience as he was really warm and welcoming.

Thanks HRGuru, I'm a Financial Analyst by Iqama's profession.
I'm going on a personal visit. Although I could have arranged for a company invite from my employer's parent company in dubai.

Anyways I realized this too late, so I'll just visit the airport n give it a try. Will update by tomorrow morning.

If fly dubai doesn't allow  me to board, I'll check other airlines.

ghanshyampdave ha respondido en el hilo Saudi Expatriate's visa requirements for UAE. en el foro Saudi Arabia

Hi all, I've read the entire thread.
Have a similar situation as many have posted, my Iqama is valid for 4 & 1/2 months. I've confirmed tickets for tomorrow evening and return tickets after 2 weeks. Profession is valid and confirmed with AMER

My question is if I'm not allowed to get an on arrival visa, what is the next best option to reach Dubai ASAP ?
Is it possible to convince them (any good excuses / reasons) after they refuse ?

Thanks in advance,
Dave

Need your opinions guys..

I am considering moving my residence to Bahrain and driving down to Dammam everyday for work.. The plan is that my wife can work there in Bahrain and we can live without the restrictions of Saudi life. Any insight on this would be helpful.
(I have read the previous posts and discussions on Bahrain forum also.)

^ @ Superman, Welcome to Expat Blog. :-)
Please tell us a little about yourself.
As you have posted this in the Saudi Arabia forum and know Arabic, you must be working in Saudi Arabia / Gulf. However your profile shows that you're living in Colombo, SL.

And Hasnaa is from the EB Team.
