About me
My husband recently took up employment in Riyadh and I will be joining him in the following few months. Both of us have been expats before - he is South African I am British and for past year or so been back in the uk. Am quite keen to hear from any women who has relocated into Saudi and hear of their views, experiences and expectations. Also keen to hear more on Compound living and of any availability going that you may be aware of in a good Compound.

My life & projects in this location:
VSO on the HIV Programme - working with Research Units and Government to develop health models to strengthen the Public Healthcare system and address the challenges presented by HIV/AIDS.
My occupation:
Communications & Development Director
What I like about this destination:
Met some fantastic people, witnessed some incredible situations, able to be part of something unique and make some footprint on progress. Faced some life changing challenges.
What I don't like about this destination:
Wouldn't change much if I had the chance, was all for a reason and I learnt so much from my SA experience.

I lived in Jamaica from February 1984 to May 2008

Not so much lived as spent quite a lot of time there and continue to visit JA whenever I can. These days more of a holiday destination.
My occupation:
My parents both Jamaican so had a reason to go visit, explore and discover my heritage.
What I liked about this destination:
Beautiful and diverse Island. Resilient and happy people. Fantastic view, variable terrain, amazing experiences.
What I didn't like about this destination:
Having to leave
