I settled in southern Portugal many years ago having lived and worked in London, Perth (West Australia), Melbourne, Hong Kong, Johannesburg, Cape Town and Gibraltar, as well as my native Belfast. I've worked as a staff journalist or freelance correspondent for the South China Morning Post, Radio Hongkong, the Sunday Times (SA), BBC, ABC News (US), ABC (Australia), NZBC (New Zealand), Daily Mail and Daily Express (UK) and the Anglo-Portuguese News (Lisbon). Contributed to many other national and regional publications. Co-founded and for 15 years co-directed what was Portugal's largest English-language publishing company, producing such magazine titles as Algarve GoodLife, Algarve Property Magazine, Destination Algarve and Algarve Golf Guide. My two most recent books have been published in 2012 as ebooks available from Amazon. 'People in a Place Apart' looks at the fascinating range of cultures and outstanding individuals who have passed through southern Portugal between the dawn of history and the present day. 'The Fátima Phenomenon - Divine Grace, Delusion or Pious Fraud?´ delves deeply into the history, politics and modern controversies surrounding one of Christendom's most intriguing Marian sagas.
