Expat in Slovakia

Twenty-something-year-old Romanian currently living in Bratislava (SK). I have lived in Girona (ES) and Leeds (UK) before. Expat in Slovakia is meant to help other EU expatriate fellows in Slovakia guide their way through the local culture and, of course, system.

I arrived here as a Leonardo da Vinci intern and worked for 3 months as an online marketer & web designer. As I decided to stay, I am now working in marketing at a Slovak corporation.

What I like about this destination:

Friendly people, good location, great links to other European cities, diversity, good lifestyle.

What I don't like about this destination:

Bureaucracy, bank services, Slovenska posta, internet & mobile phone services (very specific, I know)

Everything. People, good music, gigs, great views, friends, life, every single thing.

Labour restrictions on Romanians.
