Greetings from Buffalo NY: My name is Gary Zajdel...I a very youthful 54 yrs old...Some may equate "youthful" as immature. I disagree, I equate youthful in a pop culture type sentiment....fashion: clothing,hair style, musical tastes, political leanings, cars...etc. Being more specific, I appreciate many things my immediate contemporaries do not. For example.,.. I love, listen to and write about new/indie type rock bands. Not that I don't appreciate the then fledgling artists I grew up listening to (the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, the Doors etc)it's just that I've LISTENED to them TOO much//LOL//I guess one exception are the Rolling Stones. They still continue to be my favorite. Over my lifespan I've dissected music into compartments unfamiliar to most students/critics....anyway...music plays a big role in my daily life. I've been fortunate enough to retire in 2006. Being ona fixed income has limited my travel but not my overall lifestyle....I'm just happy I enjoy reading, TV, movies of all genres and listening to music, of course.I crrently reside in the "Elmwood Village" area within the city of Buffalo NY. I reside in a 4000sq ft fully renovated Victorian. In addition, I'm a landlord with a couple of rentals in the north counties of Buffalo. We have travelled in Central and south America....every area of the USA, the Bahamas, Mexico...and last year Turkey, Hungary and Bulgaria. My girlfriend has family in Bulgaria. I have friends in Istanbul, Malatya and Canakkale Turkey. I have a business opportunity in Turkey that has presented itself for over a year. It's time to do it. I especially liked the Burgas Bulgaria area. It's a feasible commute to Istanbul with a much lower cost of living. In addition, while in Burgas, I went out to a couple of clubs that had some great live music. I actually had met some folks...expats from NYC...most of all, I loved the people and the beaches near the Black Sea. I stayed at a great hotel in Burgas, the Primaritz...and would most likely return there while in search of an apartment..........If anyone can help in this area, I'd be grateful! I'd like a 1-2 bedroom large apartment near the sea...possibly beachfront. I'm not locked in to Burgas...but would like to stay close. Hopefully, this expat site's members will offer some help!
